Dear CenDen Families:
I hope that you received Dr. Gottinger's email on Saturday, March 14th, detailing the closing of Lake Geneva Schools beginning on Monday, March 16th.
As outlined in his email, Central-Denison Elementary will be open on Monday, March 16th and Tuesday, March 17th from 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM for students to gather items. Our library will also be open during that window so that students have the opportunity to exchange their library books before this extended break. Second and third graders, who do not have access to technology devices at home, may also pick up their Chromebooks to use during this time. Please know, however, that this is NOT a necessity. Teachers will be communicating with families throughout the week and again during the week following our scheduled Spring Break.
On Friday, March 13th, we sent a white envelope, filled with some “Just in Case” materials, home with your child. Unfortunately, that “Just in Case” time is upon us. In the envelope, you should find a combination of practice activities that will offer a good place to start in providing home learning experiences. These activities should all be concepts and skills that are familiar to your child. If your child was not at school on Friday, please feel free to stop in on Monday or Tuesday to get them, or call the office to make other arrangements.
I will be in touch again this week as the CenDen staff works out the details for further instructional learning opportunities.
