Earlier in the school year, the Lake Geneva Public Library lost their Children’s Librarian, Miss Sara Soukup, to illness.  This was also a big loss to the students and staff at Central-Denison, as our classes make regular trips to the public library and Miss Sara often visited our classrooms to share her favorite stories and books.

In Sara’s memory, we will be donating these sweet garden statues to the Lake Geneva Public Library.  In the spirit of giving, students at CenDen are collecting coins that will be used toward the purchase of the statues with the rest being used to make a donation to the library in honor of Miss Sara. Whether a child brings in two cents or two dollars, all proceeds will be donated to the Lake Geneva Public Library. 

Teachers will be collecting the coins in their classrooms from April 4^th through the 14th.  The statues will be delivered the week of the 18^th so that they are in place for the Library’s Open House at the end of April.
