October 20, 2017 — On Thursday evening, Central-Denison hosted a family math fun night. Central-Denison and Eastview Students, along with their families strolled through the classrooms of Central-Denison participating in a variety of exciting activities.
All who attended engaged in activities and/or games that fostered the review of many mathematical concepts such as: capacity, weight, comparison bars, geometry, computation, fractions and money just to name a few.
It was a great night that allowed students and their families to visit the "Math Town" that was created. Families were encouraged to spend 5-10 minutes at stops throughout the building, each room had different activities geared to 4K - 5th grade. From Money Metropolis to Geometry Gym, the teachers added creative touches to make learning mathematical concepts a fun activity that an entire family could enjoy.
